Update |
| | NYAC
would like to thank all the swimmers, coaches and parents that participated in
the 2009 Swim-A-Thon. NYAC families raised over $14,000

counting. There were some great swims and a wonderful breakfast to enjoy afterwards. |

The
Provincial 1 group raised the most money (even if we don't count Christopher's
contribution!). Well done and enjoy the pizza party!

Junior SC Provincial Championships Meet
Report March
2009 |
| | Exciting
racing and swimmer breakthroughs highlighted this year's Junior SC Provincial
Championships. How good it is to see our up and coming stars of the future win
medals, earn points and break club records. We even had some meet records set
that pave the way for future results. The 13-14 girls and boys age groups were
the big point winners scoring 608 individual points. Relays were outstanding with
the boys 12-13 winning all four relays. Read

John Calnan National Development
Group | Optimism
Becomes Reality for the National Development Group at Junior Provincials
and Central Region Champs Short
Course Season Wrap-Up March
2009 |
| | The
real goal for a coach is to build in each swimmer a ship that will sail sturdily
through the most troubled waters and will emerge from the darkest clouds ready
to continue the voyage. The National Development group strengthened their ships
and surpassed their defined goals to create a genuine feeling of optimism for
their future goals. The picture of an exhausted swimmer, arm raised in victory,
with a knowing smile across their face repeated itself many times at the Provincials
and the Central Region Champs. Read
