to challenge myself and join NYAC. I am beginning my third year with the National
group through the 2007/2008 season. I have instructed for the city of Toronto
for 4 years, but this will be my first time in a coaching position. I look forward
to this exciting new experience and sharing my knowledge with a fresh group of

| | My
passion for coaching developed when swimming competitively for my provincial team
in Romania , where I was born and raised. When I immigrated to Canada in 1999,
I continued to swim for my highschool, Earl Haig S.S. and the North York YMCA.
Still a sprinter, I changed my event from 50 Freestyle to 100 IM at this time.
As my YMCA coach had to leave the centre, she entrusted the team to my sister
and I, which we coached for 5 years. In Spring 2006, I became involved with NYAC,
while continuing my undergraduate Kinesiology studies at York University. I am
absolutely thrilled to be back for another season! Homemade chocolate and breathtaking
landscapes always boost my spirits up (especially after an intense swimming practice)
