The Shop and Support program
works in a similar fashion to our Loblaws gift card program, except they have
many companies from which cards may be purchased, with different fundraising percentages
attached to each card.
Please download the form below that shows the list
of participating companies, card denominations available and the fundraising percentage
associated with each gift card.
What
Shop and Support Gift Cards are Available... Fund Raising Assessment The
amount of a family's fundraising assessment is dependent upon the highest level
of swimmer in the family. Although it seems like small fundraising percentages
through this program, the little bits do add up. It does not take too long to
get up to $300 ($150 for intro) when purchasing groceries, gas, clothing or dining
out at restaurants. Once all the funds raised reach the family's fundraising assessment,
then the rest of the funds raised are split 50/50 between the family and NYAC.
Example: Groceries $500 x 3% = $15.00 Gas $150 x 2% = $3.00 Movies
$50 x 10% = $5.00 Coffee $50 x 5% = $2.50 Funds Raised $25.50
Group
Number For the Shop and Support program, the NYAC group number is 0100555617.
This number will usually be populated in the appropriate field on-line, but please
ensure you verify it is correct.
Registration To purchase shopping
cards on-line, you must first register. Click on the following link and follow
the instructions. You should receive an email confirmation with an activation
link when you have completed the registration. You will have to click on the received
link to activate your account.
How
to register and order your gift cards online... Payment
If you intend to use on-line banking for payment - which is the fastest way -
Preferred One can be set up as the Payee. You will need your customer/member number
which you will receive through registration. Some banks do not have Preferred
One set up as a payee so you can pay by having the amount transferred out of your
account. It is fairly straight forward when you are in the Ordering Cart as to
how this can be done. Credit card payments are not recommended as the fundraising
percentage is reduced by an average of 2% for these transactions.
Delivery Each
time an order is placed, it asks for an address. You can get the product cards
delivered to your home either via Canada Post (free, but you must waive liability)
or via Purolator Courier (costs $12.95, signature required). Orders are shipped
within 48 hours of confirmation of payment. Typical delivery times from Purolator
Courier are within 1 business day to local major centers and 2 business days across
Canada. Typical delivery times for Canada Post are 5 to 7 business days from the
time it leaves our facility. NYAC will not be offering a "deliver to group"
option. Please ensure the cards are delivered to your home/business address.
