Registration FAQs

1) I am a coach at two different clubs, do I need to register twice?
No, you do not need to register twice. Only once your registration is complete with your primary club, please have your secondary club affiliate you with their coaching staff. Your secondary club's registrar can do so by logging into the SNC RTR, selecting the 'Coaches' dropdown, and follow the option to 'Affiliate'.

2) I am not coaching with a SNC affiliated club. Can I still register with CSCA?

Yes, you can still register with the CSCA.
If you are a coach in Canada, you may be able to register through your Provincial swimming office as a Non-Club Coach.  The use of this category is at the discretion of each PSO.  Please reach out to your Provincial swimming office for more information.
If your Provincial swimming office is not available to act as your registrar, or you are a coach outside of Canada, please send an email to savannah@csca.org in order to discuss your options for a virtual or international membership.

3) My status in the RTR is not showing as 'Complete', and I don't know what I am missing.

Delays in registration may occur in the instance of:

A)    A positive response to the CSCA screening process.
B)    Any missing requirements for SNC or your respective Provincial Sport Organization (PSO). These include registration payments made to your PSO or SNC.  Make sure to familiarize yourself with the requirements of your Province and Swimming Canada, including the Safe Sport training requirement.
C)    Delays in making the payment for coach invoice.

First, log into the SNC RTR using your coach login. On the home page it will show the percentage of your registration that is complete. Please click through the steps to complete your outstanding tasks.
If you see you have missing items for your Provincial Sections (ex. Criminal Record Check) please reach out to the Provincial Swimming Office in order to get them the outstanding requirements.
Ensure that your club has paid for your coach invoice.
Lastly, please ensure you have an up-to-date Safe Sport Training and Respect in Sport Activity Leader/Coach Program. You can access your coach profile with your completed courses using the SNC Learning Management System.

If your status is still not showing as 'Complete', please reach out to savannah@csca.org to inquire about your outstanding requirements.

4) Which coaching category should I be registering in?
CATEGORY A1:
You are a head coach who intends to attend Swimming Canada sanctioned swim meets (Westerns, Easterns, Canadian Trials, etc.)
CATEGORY A2: You are a head coach who does not intend to attend Swimming Canada sanctioned swim meets
CATEGORY B: You are an assistant coach who intends to attend Swimming Canada sanctioned swim meets.
CATEGORY C: You are an assistant coach who does not intend to attend Swimming Canada sanctioned swim meets.
CATEGORY D: You are a Masters, Triathlon, or Summer Club coach.

5) Our club has paid the coach invoice, but the invoice is still showing as 'CSCA fee pending'
Please allow for 48 hours to pass before reaching out if you have paid your invoice via PayPal or Interac E-transfer.  After 48 hours, you can reach out to savannah@csca.org with your invoice number, your CSCA payment receipt (example below), and your method of payment.
