CSCA Unveils 2023-2024 Leadership Cohort as Part of Professional Development Delivery

Vancouver – November 9, 2023 - The Canadian Swimming Coaches Association (CSCA) is pleased to announce the launch of its third annual "Leadership Cohort" program, designed to foster professional development and enhance leadership skills within the swimming coaching community. The program will consist of five dynamic sessions scheduled from November 2023 through April 2024.

 

Led by renowned emotional intelligence expert, Judy Riege, the Leadership Cohort program aims to empower swimming coaches with the tools and insights necessary to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of competitive swimming and coaching.

 

The CSCA Leadership Cohort has been successful over the past two years, with over 40 coaches having participated in and completed the previous offerings we are pleased to announce the successful applicants for this year’s opportunity:

The program will cover a range of topics including explaining what is Emotional Intelligence (EQ), why it matters to great coaching at all level of the pathway, effective communication, and tools to put EQ in to action. Participants can expect an interactive and engaging learning experience that combines expert-led sessions with opportunities for peer collaboration.

 

CSCA President Lance Cansdale expressed enthusiasm for the continued growth and success of the Leadership Cohort program: "We are thrilled to bring back the Leadership Cohort for its third year, and we believe that the guidance of Judy Riege will provide our coaches with valuable insights that will not only enhance their coaching abilities but also contribute to their personal and professional growth."
