CSCA Coach Registration Refund Policy
Definitions
1. The following terms have these meanings in this Policy:
a) “CSCA” – Canadian Swimming Coaches Association
b) “Individual” – Any person who is a member as defined in the CSCA Bylaws or applying for membership within the CSCA.
Purpose and Application
2. The purpose of this Policy is to describe how Individuals may receive refunds for the fees paid to the CSCA.
Refund
3. Refunds will not be issued for membership fees paid to the CSCA.
Special Circumstances
4. Refunds may be issued for category downgrades (i.e. A1 to A2 or C to D) only when requested within 14 days of the CSCA coach registration invoice being created.
5. The CSCA will consider issuing refunds to an Individual based on special circumstances that will prevent them from coaching related to injury, illness or death provided that the request is made in writing to the CSCA Executive Director (chris@csca.org) within 14 days of learning of the special circumstance.
6. Notwithstanding the above, the CSCA may issue a refund to an Individual if they do not meet the minimum age requirement for membership.
7. These special circumstances are at the full discretion of the CSCA and may not be appealed.
Eligibility
8. An individual who has been disciplined, suspended, or has had their membership terminated is not eligible for a refund.

9. This Policy was approved by the Board of Directors of the CSCA on February 14, 2023.
