The CSCA is proud to announce a new partnership with Myrtha Pools!

Myrtha Pools is the largest manufacturer of modular stainless-steel pools in the world.  Myrtha Pools is an official partner of World Aquatics and most of the National Swimming Federations around the world, and they have an international reputation for excellence in the world of aquatic competition. Myrtha designs, manufactures and installs Olympic swimming pools for all aquatic disciplines: swimming, water polo, artistic swimming, diving and high diving.

Myrtha pools has been a sponsor of Canadian Swimming since 1999 and has built over 100 Myrtha Facilities, consisting of over 200 tanks, in Canada during that time. Most recently, both the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC) and the temporary pool put in place for the 2016 FINA World Swimming Championships 25m in Windsor, Ontario were both constructed by Myrtha Pools. Windsor also has permanent state of the art Myrtha pools constructed at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre, and their community aquatics facility.

In addition to new construction, Myrtha Pools is also your go-to for pool renovations. Myrtha's RenovAction technology can help your aging pool stay up-to-date with World Aquatic regulations, and remain eligible for international and sanctioned competitions. In 2014, the Montreal Parc Olympique Pool underwent a refurbishing using Myrtha's RenovAction technology and resumed its place as one of the top aquatics facilities in Canada.

Myrtha Pools Canada is headed by Country Manager and 1980 Canadian Olympian, Dan Thompson. Whether you are looking for advice on new bocks, timing system, a headwall, bulkheads, renovation of an existing tank or trying to develop community support for a new pool dan is eager to discuss how to start the process and give you order of magnitude pricing.

If you have any questions about how Myrtha can help your community please feel free to reach out to Dan Thompson

CSCA Live! Myrtha Pools Series:

Thursday March 13, 2025 @ 1pm Eastern. Myrtha Pools Series: Exploring Alternate Construction.

This session featured a panel including Canadian Olympian's Dan Thompson (Myrtha Pools Canada) Mike Mintenko (Myrtha Pools USA), Stu Issac (ISG) and Lynne Douglas (Sprung Structures).  This session is the first in our Facilities series and is open to everyone in the Canadian swimming community.

The cost of traditional construction has skyrocketed since the Covid Pandemic, in certain instances up as much as 40%.   Private enterprises, Institutions and municipalities are starting to seek alternatives construction approaches and are laser focused on building affordable facilities through “Functional” revenue centric programming design.

This session will focus on exploring how the Idaho Competitive Aquatics created an Aquatic learning and training centre using Sprung structures and Myrtha Pools Engineered Technology.

Located in Central Idaho, the Greater Boise Auditorium District is a public agency focused on promoting and advancing economic activity in the Boise area. In 2021, the district entered a partnership with Idaho Competitive Aquatics (ICA) and the Greater Boise Aquatics Foundation (GABF) to bring an elite aquatics center to Idaho’s Treasure Valley.

With significant population growth in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, stakeholders wanted to add a much-needed, world-class aquatic center to the area to host competitive events. Lombard Conrad Architects submitted two choices to ICA and GABF for consideration — a conventional steel option and the Sprung structure.

In the face of potential delivery and cost delays due to supply chain challenges, ICA and GABF members felt they needed to look beyond conventional construction and were intrigued by the expedited timelines, cost savings and unique characteristics of the Sprung Myrtha Pools option.

The CSCA working with Myrtha Pools and WTI is proud to bring this timely Webinar to the swimming community.
