CSCA To Launch Grassroots Coach Development Series

 

The Canadian Swimming Coaches Association (CSCA) is proud to announce the launch of a 5-part series designed specifically for grassroots-level coaches. This series offers practical tools, expert guidance, and innovative strategies to help coaches build strong foundations for young swimmers.

 

All sessions will be held on Thursdays at 10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern and delivered via Zoom.

 

About the Presenter:

 

Michelle Downey, Development Program Head Coach at the University of Calgary, brings extensive experience in coaching and athlete development. Since 2008, Michelle has held various roles in Calgary's swimming community, from lead group coach to assistant head coach. She is a passionate advocate of the LTAD (Long-Term Athlete Development) model and multisport programming. With a background in gymnastics instruction and climbing program development, Michelle specializes in teaching foundational skills that enable young athletes to thrive throughout their careers.
